Welcome back to the podcast. Hi, everyone. Danielle, here, thank you so much for joining me. Wherever you are in the world and whatever you are doing while you listen to this, I always like to think about that. Are you out on a walk? Are you home feeding your child or are you just kind of like doing errands or you at the job just trying to maybe multitask? But anyways, I'm so excited for today's episode. You are going to learn the five success secrets of Happy Holy Moms.

That's right. I also am excited to tell you that you don't even need to take notes or write it down because I am going to make available what I am talking to you about today in downloadable form. I think you're going to want to refer to him because I'm going to offer you today five really important things for you to incorporate in your life, to start to see the changes that you are looking for to go towards more peace, which I really believe is part of the success that we want to have as moms.

We want to be able to have peace through it all. We want to be happy, we want to be joyful, and we also want to make strides forward towards growing in our spiritual life because we really understand that this human life that we have, we are going to have challenges and issues to face. But we are really trying to stay focused forward on the ultimate destination, which is eternity.

And I think that these five success secrets are going to help you immensely navigate this human life and deal with what we have to face as we are also finding our joy and living this abundant life. So let's dive in. Number one, the number one out of the five success secrets for happy holy bombs is number one. They prioritize themselves.

That's right, when safety measures are explained on an airplane flight, the flight attendants mentioned to put the oxygen mask on yourself first mamas before helping out the oxygen or putting the oxygen mask on your child. And just as this analogy shows, the importance of prioritizing yourself in order to be of help to others is essential. You need to be taking amazing care of yourself first, because when you do, you are then plugging up the holes that otherwise would leak out your most precious energy and focus.

Instead, you become so filled up when you put yourself first and prioritize yourself with feeling good that it then spills over. It can't help but spill over to all the others. You come in contact with your spouse and your children and your family and your friends and your co-workers. I know you want to take great care of your family, but you will only be the most effective. You the most effective mother, daughter, sister, friend, faith filled woman.

When you have prioritized yourself. Prioritizing your mental, emotional and physical health will ensure gaps in your emotional and mental and physical health are filled and you will be so cared for and feeling good in all areas of your life, you will feel as you want them to be. So let's make prioritizing ourselves, not be looked at or thought of as selfish any more.

Let's see it for what it truly is that when you're not exhausted, but when you're energized, when you're not depleted. But when you feel fulfilled, when you have given yourself by caring for yourself and loving yourself, then you will have so much care and compassion and love to give to others. So first success secret is of happy Holi moms is they prioritize themselves. Number two, they say no.

Often. That's right. Saying no is actually a nice thing. Saying no is nice. If and when you truly want to say no to something, but then you don't, and instead you say yes. Even if it's for another well-meaning reason, you are ultimately not being kind to yourself or to the other person that you're saying yes to. When inside, you're really saying no, I don't want to do it.

The reason it is nice to say no when you mean no is because you are setting an example of what it is to live out your truth. More often than not, a lot is already being asked of you. You naturally want to be helpful, but what results instead is a negative outcome for you that comes at the expense of your precious time, energy and emotional well-being? So it is so much kinder to others and yourself when you don't say yes to taking something on in your life, if and when you really mean no, because this is people pleasing.

And when we people please, we are essentially telling a lie. We say yes to things when we really mean no, and neither side wins because you do something you really don't want to do and the recipient doesn't get the best of you. Happy Holi. Moms know that saying no when you mean it and when you want it to be, your answer is nice. In doing so, you will be living out a more authentic and successful life.

Number three? They know done is better than perfect. Successful happy Holi moms know that done is better than perfect. If you consider the grading scale we grew up in with school, where getting an A. equals excellence and an f equals failure, then accumulating more wins and successes in your mom, life requires learning to be OK with handing in work that would receive a grade of a B minus.

Getting a B minus grade means you actually did your work. You did a good enough job and it's done and not left incomplete, which would be like getting a zero. And you didn't have to spend as much time or energy on it as you would have in order to get an A. Did you feed him, bathe the kids, but you didn't have time to read every book they asked you to, then that would be b minus work. You want to have a homemade, nutritious sit down meal for your family and your man managed a frozen pizza and a side salad instead of a baked from scratch lasagna? Well, that's B-minus work.

And is your house not spotless but clean enough? B minus work? You want to go on a weekly date night with your spouse, but you can only manage going out once a month right now. B minus work. You get the point. That's what we're after. You want to aim high in life? Yes, but not so high that it stops you from doing work that is good enough or from doing anything at all. So before you know it, you'll have accomplished far more than if you were still back at the first thing trying to make it perfect.

So the third success secret of Happy Holy Moms is they know that done is better than perfect aim for B-minus. Number four. Happy Holi, moms. They make time for what matters. Time is a precious resource and one we cannot ever get more of. So the fact is what you spend your time on matters. There are many things that feel important to do and to take care of.

However, there truly are only a few things that matter. What really matters to you? Time is just a mental construct we humans have put on ourselves. It's the thoughts in our minds that convince us we don't have enough time. It's not a fact or reality. What's so important is the way that we manage ourselves and our minds within that earthly construct of time.

You actually get to choose direct guide and assign meaning to any and all thoughts you think about your time, your schedule, what's happening in your day, whether it's enough or not enough, how you're spending each moment and how you feel about each thing you're doing. Happy Holi, moms know you have far more control over utilizing your time than you've ever, let yourself believe. Satan loves to keep us thinking that we're too busy.

Why? Because preoccupation with events, tasks, solving problems and getting things done is a surefire way to distract us from trusting in God. Distractions with busyness allows our thoughts to be directed toward earthly things rather than heavenly ones. But there is power within you to manage your time instead of time managing you. Happy holy moms. Know there is an alternative to the belief that everything is important. They learn to focus most of their time on just the few things that truly matter.

And here we are already at number five. The last thing to ensure your success as a happy and holy mom is to talk to yourself as God would. You are a child of God and precious in his sight. Yet we are constantly talking to ourselves in a way that is opposite of what our Lord would say to us were full of judgment and self-criticism, and we are very good at piling on lots of “shoulds” onto ourselves like I should be doing better.

It can be equated to an internal radio dial that is always tuned on to the station of negativity and criticism. Instead of accessing the truth about ourselves, which is that we are created in his image, we doubt our capabilities, we question our worth and we focus on our inadequacies instead of focusing on being a creation of him and imagining how he would speak to her to us.

Many times we say things to ourselves that we would never say to a best friend or a loved one. So why do we think it's OK to say it to ourselves? God sees you in your magnificence with eyes of mercy as his precious child perfectly created in his image. He knows your humanness and loves you beyond understanding and happy holy moms. Remember this? And think of themselves the way God thinks of them, and they do this often.

Often number three, they know that done is better than perfect. Number four, they make time for what matters. And number five, they talk to themselves as God would.
